Income Tax Preparation Information

Clients wishing to come to our office:

We offer one-on-one preparation of your return by our staff. Many of our clients prefer this method, and we are glad to accommodate you. Please call for an appointment. Appointment times fill quickly, so calling us by Christmas, if possible will give you a better chance of getting a date and time that is acceptable to you.

Please let us know when you call for an appointment if you will have any special or unusual circumstances for your return. We want to schedule properly to allow us the correct amount of time to complete the return in order to neither rush you nor delay the next appointment. If the return is complex, we will need to schedule more time (for example, multiple businesses). Giving us this information when you call for the appointment will help us make the most efficient use of your time.

Cancellation or change of appointments

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, you must give us at least 24 hours notice before your scheduled appointment time. If less that 24 hours notice is given, a $25.00 fee will be applied to the cost of your tax return.

We recommend that all clients use our income tax organizer booklet to streamline the process.

Tax Preparation By Mail:

Please use our income tax organizer booklet. This tool enables us to better, and more accurately, prepare your returns. After you have filled in the booklet, you would then mail the booklet, as well as all documents requested in the booklet. Please send us all the pages. If some of the pages do not apply to you, then write N/A or an "X" on the parts that do not apply. This is to insure that you have seen all pages and important areas, and will help reduce un-necessary delays caused by missing information. We cannot be responsible for missing information.

If you have any unusual circumstances, please send us a detailed explanation or a copy of it in or with the booklet. When we receive your information, we will review it, and if there are other items we need, or information that needs clarification, we will contact you.

The booklet, as well as all information sent to us, will be returned to you as soon as possible after completion of your return. When your return is complete and has been reviewed, we will contact you by mail or phone to inform you of the results and to arrange payment for our services.**

Toward the end of the tax season, an extension of time to file may be included; if we believe it is necessary. If we received a check for payment that does not clear the bank, an additional charge of $30.00 will be added to cover the bank charges.
